In the present research, an innovative multi-layered material has been developed for building rehabilitation combining waste fibres with different materials such as cork, foam and biocomposites reinforced with natural fibres. Thermal and acoustic insulation behaviours of these materials have been characterized and according to these properties best materials have been selected for the targeted application. It was observed that the structure consisting of a nonwoven fabric made of recycled fibers (1st layer), foam (2nd layer) and bio-composite reinforced with two jute fabrics (3rd layer) showed the best thermal insulation performance. On the other hand, the sample containing non-woven fabric, cork and bio-composite reinforced with jute fabric showed the best acoustic insulation performance leading to a sound reduction of 8.8 dB.
