Microwave heating is directly delivered to materials through molecular interaction with the electromagnetic field. In contrast to conventional thermal treatments, the advantages are energy saving, addressable heating, low operating cost, rapid volumetric heating and no overheating at the surface. The characteristics of microwave heating are reduction of process time and excellent energy efficiency, and then the most important advantage of it is no air pollution. It is not applied widely to textile industry, because most thermoplastic fibrous materials have low dielectric constant. Thus, we added inorganic particles(IP) using the electrospinning method to heighten dielectric constant of nanofiber webs. The used IP are TiO2, Al2O3 as well as ZrO2 and can increase heating temperature due to their high permittivity. And the electric power is changed from 800W to 1800W at intervals of 200W. Finally, we set up thermometer to measure of sample heating temperature on microwave heating system. The effect of the electric power and dielectric constant on the bonding temperature of PET/IP nanofiber webs is investigated.
