If Authentic Intelligence, Fashionable Anecdotes, and a speedy Communication of every important Occurrence, foreign and domestic, together with an early Publication, will ensure a superiority over the numerous productions of the day, every exertion will be extended on the part of the Proprietors to obtain that end. Further professions are unnecessary. The Argus has been already submitted to the public judgment; its success hitherto is at once the best testimonial of its character and presage of its future fame
