This book is based on the proceedings of the 10th Materials Research Symposium. The aim of the symposium was to assess the state-of-the-art and future directions and characterization methods for high temperature vapors including, where appropriate, gases and, to a lesser extent, plasmas. A total of eighty-six papers (invited and contributed) or chapters representing nine countries are contained in these volumes. The discussion, which followed most of the delivered papers, is also included.
