Newly developed single and binary-cycle gas-turbine plants and contact-type steam-gas engines made by MMPP Saljut company were reviewed. In particular, the binary gas-turbine GTE-20S plant for production of electric energy operated at the Jamburg Power Station, RU (20 MW, efficiency 31.5 %, natural gas feedstock), the contact steam-gas turbine PGV-605 plant designed for Mosenergo company (60 MW, efficiency up to 52 %, specific natural gas consuption 144 g/kWh), gas-turbine GTD-1S and GTD-4000 engines for driving the railroad locomotives (1 MW and 4 MW, respectively) as well as gas-turbine GPA-10 engine for driving the natural gas compressors (12.5 MW, efficiency 33.5 %) were characterized in detail. The presented energy equipment is distinguished with low emissivity (nitrogen oxides content in flue gas below 50 mg/m3) and a long life time (100000 h).
