The Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – German National Library of Science and Technology has now published the first <link en search _self>reports from the Excellence Initiative of the German Research Foundation (DFG). All reports have been allocated a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), enabling them to be referenced and cited. Thanks to their digital preservation at TIB, the reports will also be permanently accessible.

TIB has more than 50 years’ experience in the publication of final reports within publicly funded research projects. It acts as a depository library for research reports issued by various ministries and research-promoting institutions, including the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). 

In addition to publishing final reports as PDF files, TIB also offers researchers the possibility to publish their research results in TIB’s AV-Portal as scientific videos – for example, as computer visualisations, simulations or experiments.
