Modular functional mechanisms (gears) play an important role in constructing modern technological equipment. Sixteen original specific mechanisms were presented in detail and described. In particular, a vibration-damping rubber compenser for machine tools, a pneumatic drive of low rate motion for crystal growth cultures, an automatic quality control system for turning lathes, a driving system based on power flow management for kinematic links with actuators and brakes, a drive of the cutting fluid feeding for finishing, a system for adaptive control of elastic strains during machining to improve the quality of machine elements, pneumatic drives of a slide plate, some actuators or turning lathes for discrete metal working under breaking-up of continuous chips, a drive with a hydraulic drilling head with a decreased consumption of lubricating oil or a drilling head for two-dimensional idle displacement and feeding, a drive of a turning lathe with both continuous and discrete feeds in a broad range, drives for electromachining tools, turning lathes, screwing machines with reciprocating motion and, finally, a system for controlling elastic strain in grinding machines were presented and described in detail.
