Proposals for publishing by subscription, the genuine works of Andrea Palladio, in English : Accurately done from the originals published by himself at Venice, Anno MDLXX. By I. Ware, architect. Conditions. I. The work, consisting of four books, will be printed on the same paper, and in the same character with these proposals. II. The price to subscribers will be one pound ten shillings for the four books in sheets. III. The first book complete will be delivered to the subscribers on or before the twenty-fifth day of May next, on payment of ten shillings. IV. The other three books, which are in good forwardness, will follow with all convenient speed, and be deliver'd together to the subscribers on payment of twenty shillings more. V. No books will ever be disposed of to any but the subscribers for less than two guineas. N.B. This work has been several times attempted by others; but either thro' want of skill, or necessary attention, it has happen'd that none of the editions hitherto published have done this author tolerable justice. To restore and perpetuate palladio's valuable remains among us, is the intention of this undertaking. Subscriptions are taken in by the editor, in Scotland-Yard, Whitehall; M. Clare, master of the academy in Soho-Square; J. Brindley, in New Bond-street; S. Harding, on the Pav'd-Stones in St. Martin's-Lane; S. Fourdrinier, the corner of Craig's-Court, Charing-Cross; and J.
